CAMPHORA, Monterey County — October 30, 2026. Residents and workers searching California’s official drinking-water database for Camphora may see several similar names. The State Water Resources Control Board’s public registry lists three separate entries bearing Camphora: Camphora Apartments (CA2701046), Camphora Station WS (CA2701579) and Camphora–Gloria Road WS #01 (CA2702642).
Why is the distinction important?
Each water-system number identifies a different registered public water system. A consumer confidence report, sampling result, inspection, notice or enforcement record for one number should not be attributed to the others solely because their names contain the word Camphora. Conversely, a favorable result at one system does not establish the water quality of another system or a private well.
What types of water systems are they?
The state’s Monterey County list classifies Camphora Apartments as a community water system, Camphora Station as a nontransient noncommunity system, and Camphora–Gloria Road #01 as a noncommunity system. These categories describe the type and typical population of users served under drinking-water regulation, not a safety ranking. A 2019 state annual report for Camphora Station identifies an industrial or workplace-related location at 32530 Silliman Road, Soledad; that old address listing does not independently establish current operations.
What about Camphora Apartments?
Eden Housing describes the Camphora Apartments property at 32101 McCoy Road as a rebuilt community of 44 affordable farmworker homes completed in 2016. This residential development is different in purpose and use from a workplace water-system entry. An older system inventory reported numbers of service connections, but it should not be used as a current count without a more recent state update.
How can customers locate the correct water report?
Start with California Drinking Water Watch — Monterey County systems. Search for the exact system ID supplied by a property manager, employer or utility bill and read the data’s reporting date. If an address has its own private well, that may involve different regulation. For concerns about a specific tap, request the system’s current testing and compliance history from its operator and the appropriate county or state drinking-water regulator.
What this report does not establish
California58 is not reporting new contamination, a violation, a boil-water notice or a current service interruption at any of these three systems. Naming three entries in a state index is not evidence that they share pipes, are physically adjacent, or receive identical water supplies.

Editor’s note: This is an identifier and public-records guide, distinct from the site’s history of Camphora Apartments and its 2026 county housing-fee item. System names and classifications should be checked against the state’s most recent inventory.
